À propos du podcast
This podcast is inhabited by the stories, urban legends, and horrors that you can find in towns not so different from yours; streets like the ones you walk every night; and even in a silent house in the middle of the night... exactly like yours. The darkness of the most successful and acclaimed horror podcast across all categories in Latin America now in English. Uriel Reyes was born in Tijuana, Baja California. As a child, he learned to comprehend the language of horror movies he found on American television, even though he didn't yet understand the language. He studied Communication at the Autonomous University of Baja California and later drew inspiration from the radio programs he listened to during insomnia-ridden early mornings, ghost stories, and a recording of Juan Rulfo reading a story from "El Llano en Llamas" to create "Relatos de la Noche" a podcast that has made him one of the most listened-to voices in the Spanish-speaking world. In this new episode, we'll explore four tales where the everyday takes a dark turn, where a simple night or a drive home becomes the stage for something macabre. "There are nights when something changes, even if we don't know exactly what. Sometimes it begins with a noise, a presence, something that shouldn't be there… and other times, with something that seems to have been coming from much earlier, from places or people who are no longer here. In this episode of Tales of the Night, we're going to hear stories that happened inside ordinary houses, on quiet streets, in places where no one would expect to find anything like this. Presences that manifest themselves for days, figures that shouldn't exist… and memories that perhaps don't belong to the person experiencing them. "Goblins are part of some of the oldest and strangest beliefs in our culture. They are said to hide objects, roam through houses at night, and linger near certain places without ever revealing themselves. Yet, there are also stories warning of something more unsettling: attracting their attention, asking for their help, or attempting to strike a bargain with them can lead to unexpected consequences. Tonight on *Relatos de la Noche*, we will hear accounts from people who claim to have come into close contact with these small entities. These are stories of forests, isolated homes, inexplicable sounds, and encounters that led skeptics to wonder if there might be something we do not yet understand behind the old legends of goblins. For perhaps the issue has never been whether or not to believe in them. Perhaps what truly matters is what happens when they decide to make their presence known."Learn more about your ad choices. When a family decides to build rooms on the upper floor of their home, the last thing they expect to find is something that seems to live within the unfinished walls. In this account, we explore the story of a home haunted by apparitions, unsettling imitations, and paranormal events that persisted for years—even after those who experienced them tried to leave it all behind. Notes de l’épisode
In this episode of Tales of the Night, members of the military share some of the most unsettling experiences they had during their night shifts. In the first story, a soldier stationed in the mountains of Mexico discovers why there's a guard post that no one wants to man. Deep in the forest, some sentries claim to have heard the laughter of a woman moving among the treetops… too high for anyone to be up there. Next, we travel to Ecuador, where a recruit recalls a night shift at a barracks surrounded by a forest marked by soldier suicides and past executions. The instructors' warnings seemed exaggerated… until a voice in the darkness began calling him by his rank. The third story takes place at that same barracks. During a foggy early morning, a soldier is relieved early by a comrade… or so he thinks. Hours later, he discovers that this comrade never left the dormitory. And to close the episode, a story submitted by a community member from Tabasco. It all began with a strange encounter his grandfather had decades ago near a trail. Since then, something seems to have stayed with his family… something that still resurfaces today. Turn off the light, get comfortable… and let yourself be carried away by these new Tales of the Night.Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Not all warnings come from old books. Sometimes they begin with an injured cat… with an argument that shouldn't have escalated… with a word spoken too many. Other times they begin on a dirt road, under the moon, when someone decides to turn around. And there are times when the pain in a house opens the door to something that shouldn't cross it. In this episode, we'll hear stories about presences that mimic, that haunt, that punish… and that seem to draw near when someone challenges them. If you don't believe in witches, that's fine. They're encounters that defy logic: presences that shouldn't be there, impossible repetitions, familiar figures in places where they can't exist… and moments when reality seems to completely break down. Stories that happen day and night, in the bitter cold, in the desert, on hairpin turns… and at that precise moment when you begin to wonder if what you saw was real… or if there's something else accompanying you on the road. In this episode of Tales of the Night, we explore true horror stories related to Santa Muerte, witchcraft, and curses. A young man who moves into an old house in the Santa María la Ribera neighborhood begins to experience strange occurrences after discovering a Santa Muerte altar in his neighbors' room. What seemed like a simple annoyance soon becomes something much more disturbing: dirty hair appearing on his bed, an apple full of pins in the kitchen, and a presence watching him every night as he sleeps. Throughout the episode, we'll hear other stories where witchcraft, threats, and rituals seem to cross the line from the everyday, leaving a difficult question to ignore: how real can these practices really be? Hospitals are places where life and death coexist every day… and perhaps that's why they're also the setting for some of the most unsettling paranormal stories. In this episode of Tales of the Night, we'll hear the testimony of two siblings who experienced several strange early mornings while caring for their grandfather in an old hospital, where a mysterious figure seemed to roam the halls at three in the morning.
