    Notes de l’épisode

Are you emotionally exhausted, overwhelmed, burned out, or struggling to feel like yourself? The problem may be unresolved grief or the emotional weight of multiple losses. This is cumulative grief and it may be affecting your life more than you realize.

And it doesn't always come from losing someone you love.

Grief can follow divorce, relationship breakdowns, career setbacks, financial hardship, health challenges, or the loss of a future you once imagined. When multiple losses accumulate, the emotional toll can leave even the strongest people feeling stuck, numb, unmotivated, and disconnected from themselves.

In this powerful episode of Women Road Warriors, host Shelley Johnson speaks with Rosalind Price, a certified grief coach, transition strategist, and lifelong grief navigator who has spent 25 years working in corporate America. Rosalind explains why high achievers and resilient women often struggle to acknowledge their own grief, especially when they're accustomed to being strong for everyone else.

Drawing from her personal experiences with devastating family losses, divorce, and the unexpected death of her former husband, Rosalind shares a refreshing perspective on emotional healing, resilience, and rebuilding your life after loss.

You'll discover why grief isn't something you can simply push through, how unresolved losses can affect your identity, relationships, motivation, and productivity, and why creating a new normal doesn't mean returning to the person you used to be. It means growing in spite of it.

    In this episode, discover:

    • What cumulative grief is and how multiple losses can quietly overwhelm you.
    • Why grief can feel like burnout, emotional exhaustion, brain fog, or loss of motivation.
    • Why successful women, leaders, and high achievers often struggle to admit they're grieving.
    • How unresolved grief can influence your relationships, decision-making, and sense of identity.
    • Why society's pressure to "move on" can make grief harder to navigate.
    • The difference between grief awareness and what Rosalind calls grief intelligence.
    • How to stop performing strength and begin recognizing what you actually need.
    • Why self-compassion, healthy boundaries, and the right support matter during major life transitions.
    • How Rosalind's Mind the Transitions® framework helps people build a new normal through awareness, compassionate tools, and sustainable action.

Rosalind challenges the idea that grief is an enemy to defeat. Instead, she encourages people to understand their experiences, reclaim their personal authority, and find a meaningful way forward without rushing their recovery.

Whether you're coping with the death of a loved one, divorce, career loss, major life changes, or years of accumulated emotional stress, this conversation offers a compassionate new perspective on grief recovery, emotional resilience, and personal transformation.

You don't have to pretend you're okay to begin moving forward. There is growth after loss.

    Notes de l’épisode

What if stubborn weight gain, constant cravings and “food noise” aren't simply a matter of willpower? What if your brain is driving more of your hunger, metabolism and eating behavior than you realize?

Triple board-certified neurologist and obesity medicine specialist Dr. Sara Siavoshi joins Women Road Warriors with Shelley Johnson and Kathy Tuccaro to reveal the connection between the brain, weight gain and weight loss, metabolism, GLP-1 medications, inflammation and healthy aging.

Dr. Siavoshi is the Founder and CEO of DrBrainRx, a nationwide physician-led telehealth platform focused on metabolic health, brain health, longevity and preventive medicine. She also practices clinical neurology and serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Neurosciences at UC San Diego.

In this eye-opening conversation, Dr. Siavoshi explains why she considers GLP-1 medications “brain drugs,” how the hypothalamus regulates hunger and satiety, and how dopamine-driven reward pathways can contribute to food cravings and addictive behaviors.

She breaks down the science behind Ozempic, Wegovy, Zepbound, Mounjaro, semaglutide and tirzepatide, including what may happen when people stop taking GLP-1 medications and why maintaining muscle through resistance training and adequate protein are so important during weight loss.

Dr. Siavoshi explores the relationship between obesity, insulin resistance, inflammation and brain health, including why protecting the brain's blood vessels may matter for cognitive health as we age. She also explains how exercise increases BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor), which supports neurons, neural connections and the hippocampus. That’s the brain region critical to learning and memory.

You'll also hear a fascinating discussion about genetics and obesity, fertility and metabolic health, “Ozempic babies,” vitamin D and the nervous system, neuroplasticity after neurological injury, and what science is discovering about GLP-1 medications and addictive behaviors.

    In this episode, discover:
    • How your brain regulates hunger, fullness, cravings and “food noise”
    • Why GLP-1 medications may affect far more than appetite and weight
    • How dopamine and the brain’s reward system can influence compulsive eating
    • Why researchers are studying GLP-1s in connection with alcohol, nicotine and other addictive behaviors
    • Why weight can return after stopping GLP-1 medications
    • Why muscle, protein and resistance training matter during weight loss
    • What “skinny fat” means—and why appearance doesn’t always reveal metabolic health
    • How obesity, insulin resistance and inflammation can affect the brain and its blood vessels
    • Why exercise boosts BDNF, supporting memory, neuroplasticity and the hippocampus
    • What metabolic health may have to do with fertility and “Ozempic babies”
    • The differences between semaglutide, tirzepatide, Ozempic, Wegovy, Zepbound and Mounjaro
    • Why vitamin D matters to neurological health

If you've ever wondered why one person seems able to ignore food while another battles cravings all day or why losing weight can feel like fighting your own body this conversation may change the way you think about weight forever.

Healthy aging isn't only about living longer. It's about protecting your brain, preserving your muscle, improving your metabolic health and staying mentally and physically capable as you age.

Listen to Women Road Warriors as Dr. Sara Siavoshi takes us inside the brain-body connection and separates medical science from the wellness hype.

    Notes de l’épisode

Sexual abuse, sexual assault, and harassment can leave survivors feeling powerless, silenced, and afraid they won’t be believed. Attorney and survivor advocate Alreen Haeggquist knows that firsthand. She survived years of sexual, physical, and emotional abuse as a child and remained silent out of fear and shame. Today, she has turned that painful experience into a mission to help other survivors find their voices, stand up to their abusers, and pursue justice.

For more than 20 years, Alreen has represented survivors of sexual assault, sexual harassment, workplace discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination. As founder and managing partner of Haeggquist & Eck, LLP, she has recovered millions of dollars for clients while taking on powerful corporations, institutions, and individuals. Her belief is unwavering: wealth, influence, and status should never put anyone above accountability.

In this powerful conversation with Women Road Warriors hosts Shelley Johnson and Kathy Tuccaro, Alreen talks about why survivors often remain silent, why so many fear they won’t be believed, and how abuse can profoundly affect self-worth and a person’s ability to recognize abusive behavior later in life.

She also explains the importance of documenting misconduct, understanding your legal options, and having someone in your corner when confronting an abuser, employer, or powerful institution. Alreen shares why healing from trauma is a journey and how finding your voice can be an important part of reclaiming your power.

Beyond the courtroom, Alreen founded the HAE Fired Up Foundation to help survivors access resources for healing and empowerment. She is also the bestselling author of Fired Up: Fueling Triumph from Trauma, which chronicles her own journey and encourages other survivors to break the silence, find their voices, and move forward.

    In this episode:

    • Why sexual abuse and harassment survivors often remain silent
    • How Alreen turned her own childhood trauma into a mission to advocate for others
    • Why being heard and believed can be so important for survivors
    • How Alreen helps survivors stand up to powerful people and institutions
    • Sexual harassment, workplace discrimination, and survivor legal rights
    • Steps survivors can take to document misconduct and explore legal options
    • How trauma can affect self-worth and the ability to recognize abusive behavior
    • Why finding your voice can be an important part of healing

Alreen’s message is powerful: survivors deserve to be heard, believed, supported, and empowered to reclaim their voices.

  6. The Secret to Happiness & Inner Peace: Anattā

    Notes de l’épisode

What if happiness and inner peace aren't things you have to chase—but something you uncover when you stop holding so tightly to who you think you're supposed to be?

We live in a world that constantly tells us to achieve more, prove ourselves, defend our positions and define who we are. Yet all that striving can leave us anxious, disconnected and exhausted. There is another way.

Award-winning author and alpinist Michael Schauch joins Women Road Warriors hosts Shelley Johnson and Kathy Tuccaro to explore Anattā, the ancient Buddhist concept of “non-self” at the heart of his book Anattā: Heart of Wisdom. It sounds mysterious, but its message is surprisingly practical: loosening our grip on the fears, wounds, identities and stories we carry can open the door to greater happiness, harmony, connection and inner peace. It happens when we loosen our attachment to the independent self and recognize how deeply interconnected we are with the world around us.

Anattā isn't about losing yourself, surrendering your power or allowing other people to walk over you. It's about discovering the deeper person underneath the roles, expectations and emotional reactions that can quietly control your life.

Michael explains why our attachment to an independent sense of self can intensify fear, dissatisfaction and an “us versus them” mentality. He also explores the Buddhist Four Immeasurables—loving kindness, compassion, joyful empathy and equanimity—and how they can help us build stronger connections and greater harmony.

You'll also discover why inner peace does not mean keeping the peace at your own expense.

Michael shares practical ways to begin: slow down, reconnect with nature, notice the stories running beneath your thoughts and emotions, and create enough stillness to hear what is happening inside you.

One of his most powerful insights turns our usual pursuit of happiness upside down: happiness and inner peace aren't destinations. They emerge as we become more aligned with our true nature.

Michael's path to this wisdom has taken him far beyond the meditation cushion. His extraordinary experiences include remote Himalayan expeditions, Alaskan ice walls, sacred places in Japan and the discovery of a Himalayan cave containing the ancient remains of 23 people. His connection with nature and a remarkable story passed down from his mother after her childhood in postwar Hong Kong helped shape his understanding of our connection to one another and the world around us.

Discover Anattā and a different path toward happiness, inner peace, self-discovery, mindfulness, emotional balance and human connection with Michael Schauch on Women Road Warriors.

    In This Episode, Discover:
    • What Anattā really means and why “non-self” is not about losing your identity, voice, power or boundaries
    • Why happiness and inner peace aren't destinations but can emerge when we become more aligned with our true nature
    • How the fears, wounds, identities and stories we hold onto can create suffering, dissatisfaction and disconnection
    • Why recognizing our interconnection with other people and the world around us can create greater harmony and compassion
    • How to step out of an “us versus them” mindset and respond to conflict with greater clarity instead of reacting from fear
    • The Four Immeasurables—loving kindness, compassion, joyful empathy and equanimity—and how they strengthen human connection
    • Why inner peace does not require women to surrender their voices or sacrifice healthy boundaries
    • How nature can help quiet the mind, reveal hidden thought patterns and reconnect us with ourselves
    • Michael's extraordinary discovery of 23 ancient human remains in a Himalayan cave and what it taught him about impermanence and the human experience
    • How to recognize thoughts and emotions without allowing them to control you—like stepping out of a raging river and observing it from the bank
    • Practical ways to create more stillness, mindfulness, emotional balance and peace in everyday life

What might change if you stopped searching outside yourself for the happiness, wisdom and peace you already have the capacity to experience?

Featured on The Oprah Podcast, award-winning leadership strategist Adyna K. Pressley knows what happens when the professional title that once defined you no longer fits and you must decide who you will become next.

Whether you are navigating a career change, stepping into leadership, or realizing that an old definition of success no longer serves you, this conversation will help you approach your next chapter with greater confidence, clarity, and purpose.

Adyna spent 34 years in corporate America, rising to Vice President of Operations in financial services and helping hundreds of team members grow and advance. She also witnessed something conventional leadership programs often overlook. It was that highly capable women can be undervalued, isolated, and expected to lead without the mentorship or support they need. That is not a lack of talent. It is often a structural problem.

Today, Adyna is the founder and CEO of AKP Innovations, a global leadership trainer, host of Pressley On Purpose, and the award-winning author of Rise Into You: Reclaiming Power, Love, Life, and Legacy. Named the 2025 Best Women’s Empowerment Leader in the U.S. and a 2026 Woman to Watch, she helps women strengthen their confidence, emotional intelligence, clarity, and purpose-driven leadership.

In this episode, Shelley Johnson and Kathy Tuccaro talk with Adyna about:

    • Rebuilding confidence during career reinvention

    • Separating your identity and self-worth from a job title

    • Moving through fear, self-doubt and other people’s opinions

    Notes de l’épisode

America’s first Native American superhero isn’t another comic-book creation. She is Sacajawea, and she is taking flight as Bird Woman.

The 12-time award-winning animated drama Bird Woman: Sacajawea reimagines her as a navigator, warrior, and shapeshifter. She is part woman and part eagle. Caught between two worlds, Bird Woman battles danger, confronts painful choices, and discovers her strength, her powers, and her destiny.

Her supernatural powers may be imagined. Her courage was not.

Long before Wonder Woman took flight, the real Sacajawea crossed thousands of miles of dangerous and unfamiliar territory while carrying her infant son and helping the Lewis and Clark Expedition reach the Pacific. The expedition would have failed without her. She was only 16, with knowledge well beyond her years.

Sacajawea was far more than the guide many history books briefly mention. She was a Lemhi Shoshone woman, interpreter, navigator, cultural bridge, diplomat, mother, and survivor. Her knowledge helped the expedition find food, obtain horses, communicate with Native nations, and navigate a landscape its members did not understand. Her presence with a baby also signaled that the group was traveling in peace rather than as a war party.

Yet most Americans know Sacajawea’s name without knowing the remarkable woman behind it.

In this episode of Women Road Warriors, Shelley Johnson and Kathy Tuccaro welcome award-winning filmmaker Lynn Rogoff to explore both sides of this extraordinary story: the real Sacagawea whose contributions were reduced to a historical footnote and the groundbreaking animated superhero series introducing her courage to a new generation.

Lynn reveals Sacajawea’s childhood abduction, her dramatic reunion with her Shoshone brother, the dangers she survived, and the conflicting accounts of what happened to her after the expedition. You’ll also discover how Sacajawea became a symbol of women’s leadership and independence during the suffrage movement and why so much of her remarkable story was left out of our history books.

    In this episode, discover:

    • Why Lynn believes the Lewis and Clark Expedition could not have succeeded without Sacajawea
    • How Sacajawea’s knowledge, diplomacy, and fearless actions repeatedly protected the expedition
    • The dramatic reunion with her Shoshone brother and the painful choice she faced
    • The competing accounts of whether she died young or returned home and lived into old age
    • How Bird Woman: Sacajawea transforms an overlooked historical figure into a powerful Indigenous heroine
    • How AI-enhanced animation and interactive character technology are bringing history to a new generation
    • Why animated stories centered on women still struggle to receive funding

    52 minÉpisode 247

    Notes de l’épisode

Your brain may be protecting you from the very success you want.

What if hesitation isn’t a lack of ambition? What if overthinking, perfectionism, fear of visibility, and self-sabotage are old survival patterns running automatically? And what if changing the behavior isn’t enough because behavior is only the final step in the pattern?

Master Coach and “Millionaire Activator” Suzanne Longstreet says the subconscious mind is wired to keep us safe, not necessarily to help us grow. When an opportunity involving greater success, money, leadership, or visibility activates an old belief, the brain may interpret growth as a threat and trigger fear before we consciously understand what is happening.

Suzanne Longstreet is the creator of Quantum YOU Activation and the bestselling author of The Millionaire Brain and co-author of The Millionaire Codes. She helps high-achieving women identify and eliminate the subconscious resistance disrupting their decisions, execution, visibility, and income.

Suzanne explains the sequence: an external trigger activates an internal message, the message creates an emotional response, and the emotion drives behavior. To create lasting change, she says we must identify the trigger, uncover the hidden belief, and rewire the pattern beneath the reaction.

Suzanne traces one of her own limiting beliefs about money to age four or five. After proudly announcing that the 100 pennies in her hand made $100, her mother laughed and corrected her. Although her mother meant no harm, Suzanne internalized a very different message: I don’t understand money. That childhood moment quietly followed her into adulthood and business.

After years of struggling to build her coaching practice, Suzanne discovered neuro-linguistic programming, hypnosis, and advanced cognitive techniques. She says applying those tools helped her move from earning approximately $15,000 a year to $60,000 within six months.

    In this thought-provoking episode, discover:

    • Why the subconscious mind can treat success as a threat
    • How hidden beliefs formed in childhood can influence adult decisions
    • Why triggers—not behaviors—may be the real place to begin
    • How repeated thoughts can reinforce fear and negative emotional patterns
    • What an amygdala hijack looks like in professional and personal life
    • How fight, flight, freeze, and fawn responses affect confidence
    • Why Tall Poppy Syndrome keeps accomplished women from speaking up
    • How imposter syndrome and fear of visibility can restrict income
    • How self-awareness can help interrupt an automatic response
    • Why the language you use about yourself matters to your subconscious mind

Somatic embodiment coach Christina Lane joins Shelley Johnson and Kathy Tuccaro of Women Road Warriors to explain why we sometimes unconsciously repel what we desperately desire and how body awareness can make us more available to receive it.

The issue may not be availability. It may be access.

When part of us doesn’t feel safe, ready, or emotionally available to receive what we desire, we can fall into fight-or-flight, anxious attachment, emotional reactivity, or a desperate “grabbing” energy that pushes people and opportunities away. Christina reveals how somatic coaching, emotional regulation, and mind-body awareness can help us identify these subconscious patterns before they take control.

Traditional self-help and talk-based insight can help us understand our behavior, but understanding a pattern doesn’t always stop us from repeating it. Christina explains how somatic coaching brings the body, emotions, subconscious, and nervous system into the process so meaningful change becomes accessible during an argument, a difficult meeting, a date, or a two-in-the-morning anxiety spiral.

    In this episode, discover:

    • Why anxiety is information—and what it may be trying to protect you from
    • How to experience an emotion without feeding it with thoughts and stories
    • Christina’s 90-second approach to riding an emotional wave
    • How nervous-system regulation can interrupt fight-or-flight reactions
    • Why desperately chasing love, money, or success may push it farther away
    • How scarcity thinking creates a cycle that appears to confirm your fears
    • Why tone, energy, and body language affect relationships and leadership
    • How somatic movement, grounding, dance, and body awareness can shift your emotional state
    • What Christina means by determining what is—and isn’t—“on your menu”
    • How phones, social media, and constant stimulation eliminate the reflective space we need
    • Why empathy and energetic awareness can transform conflict
    • How to stop absorbing another person’s negativity and command your own emotional space

    Christina’s central message is powerful:

“The issue is not availability. It’s access. It’s not that what you want isn’t there. It’s that something in you is not available to receive it.”

Kindness is often treated like a weakness. But what if it is actually a survival skill that can help us manage stress, interrupt negative thoughts, and reclaim our power?

Nicole Phillips, founder of Kindness Is Contagious and host of The Kindness Podcast, which Oprah Magazine recognized as one of the top happiness podcasts, joins Women Road Warriors hosts Shelley Johnson and Kathy Tuccaro to reveal how intentional kindness transformed her habits, marriage, family, and outlook on life.

A breast cancer survivor, recovering alcoholic, former hospital chaplain and television journalist, Nicole brings extraordinary warmth and lived wisdom to this conversation. She has spoken at more than 200 events, reaching over 30,000 people, and has been featured by NBC Nightly News, the Hallmark Channel, People Online, Reader’s Digest and Woman’s World. She is the author of five books, including The Negativity Remedy.

Nicole’s journey began with an unexpected encounter with a young mother at a public swimming pool. One simple act of generosity sparked a powerful personal transformation—and a kindness movement. Within a year of intentionally looking for and practicing kindness, Nicole had quit drinking and smoking, lost 30 pounds, renewed her relationship with her husband, and changed the atmosphere in her home.

Nicole explains why negativity may seem more prevalent when “the worse is simply louder.” She also reveals how confirmation bias, judgment and social media algorithms can reinforce negative thinking—and how we can train ourselves to see more of the goodness that is still all around us.

    In this empowering conversation, discover:

    • How kindness can reshape automatic thoughts and negative beliefs

    • Nicole’s “worry, hurry and jury” pattern—and how to interrupt it

    • Why the first thought may be automatic, but the next thought is where your power lives

    • A simple 24-hour exercise for developing a kindness mindset

    • How to practice self-kindness and stop destructive inner criticism

    • Why the Platinum Rule can be more compassionate than the Golden Rule

    • How asking “What else could be true?” can prevent fear from becoming panic

    • The difference between healthy perspective and toxic positivity

    • How to feel the pain of life without feeding the panic

    • Why paying attention may be more powerful than simply paying kindness forward

Listen now and discover why kindness is not passive or powerless. It is a practical mindset tool that can strengthen resilience, reduce conflict, and change how we experience ourselves, other people, and the world.

  12. Exhausted? Stop Fighting Your Body & Start Listening

    Notes de l’épisode

You’re eating clean, exercising, meeting your responsibilities, and pushing through every demanding day, but you’re still exhausted.

Here’s something every overwhelmed woman needs to hear: you may not need more discipline. You may need to stop fighting your body and start listening to what it is trying to tell you.

In this eye-opening episode of Women Road Warriors, Shelley M. Johnson and Kathy Tuccaro talk with Katie Hardie, a Board-Certified Holistic Nutritionist, FDN Practitioner, and founder of My PEAK.

Katie explains how constantly pushing through stress without adequate recovery can affect your energy, sleep, blood sugar, hormones, digestion, metabolism, mood, and overall performance. Even symptoms we have been taught to accept—nighttime waking, afternoon crashes, brain fog, stubborn midsection weight, bloating, and feeling unlike ourselves—may be signals that the body needs something different.

Katie understands burnout personally. Years of working harder, overtraining, under-fueling, and ignoring her body’s warning signs eventually took a physical toll. Functional testing helped her connect the dots between her stress hormones, recovery, and a serious injury—and taught her why pushing through symptoms is not always a sign of strength.

    In this episode, discover:

    • Why symptoms can be common without being normal
    • What nighttime waking and afternoon energy crashes may be telling you
    • How emails, social media, caregiving, shift work, and constant demands can keep your body in fight-or-flight mode
    • Why chronic stress can disrupt cortisol, DHEA, sex hormones, digestion, thyroid function, blood sugar, and metabolism
    • How short “micro-recoveries” can help your nervous system reset—even during a demanding workday
    • Why gut health and regular bowel movements provide important clues about your health
    • How real food can support more sustainable energy than sugar, caffeine, and heavily processed convenience foods
    • Why intermittent fasting may help one person but create additional stress for another
    • The difference between merely avoiding a disease diagnosis and identifying patterns before they become bigger problems
    • How functional testing, personalized nutrition, movement, sleep, and nervous-system support can help you build a roadmap for better health

Women are frequently taught to push harder, eat less, ignore exhaustion, and treat rest as something that must be earned. But there comes a point when more pressure produces less performance.

If you have ever been told that you are “fine” while knowing you don’t feel like yourself, this conversation could change how you think about your symptoms. Your body may not need more punishment or discipline. It may need you to start listening.

Wyoming is famous as the Cowboy State, but women have shaped its laws, land, culture, and communities from the beginning. In 1869, Wyoming Territory became the first U.S. territory to grant women the right to vote, a historic breakthrough that helped earn it another proud name: the Equality State.

Fifth-generation Wyomingite, photographer, and storyteller Lindsay Linton Buk joins Women Road Warriors hosts Shelley Johnson and Kathy Tuccaro to reveal the remarkable women behind Wyoming’s history and the modern American West.

Lindsay’s new book, Women Shaping the West: Stories from Wyoming, grew out of her acclaimed podcast and museum exhibition. After training in New York City and returning home, Lindsay traveled more than 15,000 miles across Wyoming, shot 600 rolls of film, and recorded over 3,000 minutes of interviews.

Her visually stunning collection profiles more than 25 extraordinary women from an Eastern Shoshone language preservationist and a backcountry pilot to an abstract painter and a Wyoming Supreme Court justice. Their lives challenge the enduring myth that rugged men built the West alone.

    In this episode, discover:

    • How Wyoming women fought for, won, and protected early voting rights
    • How Haudenosaunee women influenced early leaders of the American women’s rights movement
    • Why living and working close to the land demands extraordinary resilience
    • How women’s interdependence creates a circular web of strength that uplifts entire communities
    • What Wyoming’s ranchers, artists, pilots, judges, language keepers, and other leaders reveal about identity, purpose, and leadership

    Notes de l’épisode

Do you seem to keep attracting the wrong partner? Is it bad luck or are unconscious relationship patterns shaping who you choose, trust, and love?

If dating or relationships feel like the same painful story with a different person playing the lead, your attachment style may be the reason. Insecure attachment can leave you terrified of abandonment, uncomfortable with intimacy, or repeatedly drawn to emotionally unavailable and toxic partners.

Clinical psychologist, attachment theory expert, and relationship coach Dr. Morgan Anderson joins Women Road Warriors hosts Shelley Johnson and Kathy Tuccaro to explain why we repeat unhealthy relationship patterns and how to break the cycle.

Dr. Morgan is the author of Love Magnet: Get Off the Dating Rollercoaster and Attract the Love You Deserve, creator of Empowered. Secure. Loved. and Dr. Morgan Coaching, and host of the top-rated podcast Let’s Get Vulnerable.

She understands toxic relationships personally. Before becoming a nationally recognized relationship expert, Dr. Morgan experienced betrayal, tolerated unhealthy relationships, and endured a situation so toxic that it resulted in a police report. She even walked away from a genuinely good relationship because the man liked baseball.

Dr. Morgan explains repetition compulsion, relational trauma, and the “blueprint for love” created by our earliest relationships. You’ll learn why red flags can initially resemble chemistry, why emotionally unavailable partners can feel irresistible, and why healthy love sometimes feels unfamiliar.

    Discover:

    • How attachment styles influence whom you choose
    • Why you repeat toxic relationship patterns
    • How to recognize red flags and trauma-driven attraction
    • Why you may push emotionally safe partners away
    • How dating for validation damages self-worth
    • How to develop secure attachment
    • How to heal after a breakup
    • What emotionally safe, reciprocal love looks like

Your past may have shaped your attachment style, but it does not have to determine your future. Listen now and learn how to stop being a magnet for the wrong people and attract the healthy love you deserve.

    You'll discover:

✔ Why menopause is NOT "all in your head"

✔ The real causes of brain fog, fatigue, anxiety, mood swings and burnout

✔ Why unexplained weight gain isn't simply about eating less

✔ Why hormone monitoring should begin long before menopause

✔ The difference between traditional hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and bioidentical hormone therapy

The album explores heartbreak, healing, hope, resilience, and faith through deeply personal storytelling and Morgan's extraordinary five-octave vocal range.

What would you do if your commercial flight was hijacked by armed terrorists and you didn't know if you'd ever see your family again?

In this gripping episode of Women Road Warriors, Shelley Johnson and Kathy Tuccaro welcome Mimi Nichter, award-winning anthropologist, professor emerita, and author of Hostage: A Memoir of Terrorism, Trauma, and Resilience.

At just 20 years old, Mimi boarded what she believed would be a routine flight home from Israel in 1970. Instead, her plane was hijacked by armed militants from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and diverted to the Jordanian desert, where she endured nearly a month as a hostage in sweltering heat, surrounded by armed militants and the uncertainty of whether she would ever make it home alive. The hijacking of TWA Flight 741 became one of the defining acts of modern international terrorism and a pivotal moment in aviation history that changed air travel forever.

But this conversation goes far beyond a remarkable survival story.

Mimi reveals how the emotional wounds of terrorism lingered for decades, why she remained silent for more than 50 years, and what finally gave her the courage to confront her trauma and reclaim her voice. Together, Shelley, Kathy and Mimi explore identity under pressure, the psychology of survival, resilience after unimaginable adversity, and the long journey from fear to healing.

Whether you're fascinated by history, inspired by stories of resilience, or seeking hope after life's most difficult challenges, this unforgettable conversation offers powerful lessons about courage, healing, and the resilience of the human spirit.

    In this episode:

    • Surviving one of history's most significant airplane hijackings

    • What it's really like to be held hostage

    • The psychology of fear, trauma, and resilience

    • Why trauma can remain silent for decades

    • Finding healing after unimaginable adversity

    • Choosing courage over fear

    • How one ordinary woman became part of history

What happens when you're told your dreams are impossible?

When Michelle Huntington pursued aviation, she was told women shouldn't fly. One person even claimed women weren't physically suited for the cockpit.

Michelle refused to accept someone else's limits.

She went on to become one of fewer than 500 female airline captains worldwide, spending more than two decades making critical decisions at 35,000 feet where waiting for perfect information simply wasn't an option.

Those experiences taught her a lesson that applies far beyond aviation:

The greatest risk isn't being wrong. It's not deciding.

Today, Michelle is a TEDx speaker, corporate trainer, and author of Lady MacGyver: Unbelievable Stories with Altitude. She helps leaders, entrepreneurs, and individuals navigate uncertainty, communicate effectively, and find calm when the pressure is on.

In this inspiring conversation with Shelley Johnson and Kathy Tuccaro, Michelle shares lessons on resilience, confidence, decision-making, leadership, and trusting yourself when the path forward isn't perfectly clear.

    Notes de l’épisode

Could your screen time be impairing your memory, learning ability, focus, and attention span? You could unintentionally be rewiring your brain the wrong way and that goes for kids as well as adults.

Research shows excessive screen time can negatively affect sleep, concentration, working memory, emotional regulation, and attention span. For both children and adults, digital overload may contribute to mental fatigue, increased stress, reduced productivity, forgetfulness, and difficulty focusing for long periods of time.

The good news is there are ways to strengthen and retrain the brain for better performance and brain optimization expert Dr. Tere Linzey explains how. What’s important is you can change the brain at any age.

In this episode of Women Road Warriors with Shelley Johnson and Kathy Tuccaro, Dr. Linzey discusses how neuroplasticity, the brain’s ability to form new neural connections and adapt throughout life can improve cognitive function at any age.

Dr. Linzey is a Harvard and UC Berkeley-trained educational psychologist, certified in neuropsychology, and founder of BrainMatterZ, an internationally used brain optimization program. She’s also the author of “Measuring Up!” a practical guide to understanding how the brain learns, adapts, and improves through intentional training and healthy habits.

With over 30 years in education, she has helped children, teens, and adults improve executive functioning, processing speed, working memory, focus, concentration, and learning performance.

Her techniques have helped students raise SAT scores, reduce test anxiety, strengthen concentration, and improve cognitive performance. She has also worked extensively with individuals dealing with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, concussions, auditory processing challenges, memory issues, and learning difficulties.

Dr. Linzey shares science-based strategies designed to strengthen the brain naturally through movement, social connection, nutrition, cognitive exercises, and brain-training techniques that support focus, emotional resilience, memory, and mental sharpness.

In This Episode of Women Road Warriors:

    • How excessive screen time may affect focus, memory, sleep, and emotional health

    • The science behind neuroplasticity and brain rewiring

    Notes de l’épisode

What does it really take to go undercover, expose corruption, and protect lives at the highest level?

In this powerful episode of Women Road Warriors, Shelley Johnson and Kathy Tuccaro feature real-life covert operative Nina Hobson—whose story feels like a movie, but every moment is real.

For over 15 years, Nina worked on the front lines of U.K. law enforcement, leading high-risk undercover operations involving murder, kidnapping, sexual assault, and financial crimes totalling over $100 million. She went on to become one of the few women to rise to Head of Security, protecting high-profile figures and A-list celebrities.

But her most dangerous mission wasn’t against criminals—it was from within.

In 2006, Nina risked everything to expose systemic corruption inside the British police force. Wearing hidden cameras for nearly a year, she gathered evidence that became the BAFTA-nominated Channel 4 documentary Undercover Copper. Her bravery helped change how sexual assault victims are treated and exposed deep-rooted institutional failures.

Today, Nina continues her mission—working in executive protection, advising major platforms like HBO Max, Netflix, and Discovery+, and taking on humanitarian efforts around the world, including rescuing victims and children of human trafficking and conducting anti-poaching operations in Zimbabwe.

This is a conversation about courage, conviction, and what it truly means to stand up for justice—no matter the cost.

    Notes de l’épisode

Food insecurity, hunger, food justice, and access to nutritious food are critical issues impacting millions—and the solutions may be closer than we think.

In this compelling episode of Women Road Warriors with Shelley Johnson and Kathy Tuccaro, we speak with Jenique Jones, Executive Director of WhyHunger, about solving hunger through sustainable, community-driven solutions and why hunger is not inevitable.

Jenique’s passion is rooted in lived experience. Growing up in Harlem during the crack epidemic, raised by her grandmother, she witnessed how broken systems prevent access to basic necessities like healthy, nutritious food. That experience shaped her lifelong mission to fight hunger, strengthen communities, and advance food justice.

Her career includes public service with the New York State Senate, building community partnerships in education, and more than a decade at City Harvest, where she led efforts through major growth, technological innovation, and crises including Hurricane Sandy and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Today, Jenique leads WhyHunger, the global nonprofit founded in 1975 by musician Harry Chapin and radio host Bill Ayres, grounded in the belief that access to nutritious food is a fundamental human right. She is expanding the organization’s visibility, partnerships, and funding to drive long-term, sustainable solutions to hunger worldwide.

Through initiatives like the award-winning Plentiful app, corporate and donor partnerships, and investments in sustainable agriculture, WhyHunger is addressing the root causes of hunger. In the past three years alone, the organization has connected more than 3.5 million people to nutritious local food and invested nearly $7 million globally to support community-led solutions that empower people to feed themselves.

This episode also highlights a major gap: many food assistance programs are not aligned with the true cost of living, leaving countless individuals and families food insecure. Jenique emphasizes that those most impacted must be part of the conversation—and part of the solution.

If you’re interested in hunger relief, food insecurity solutions, community empowerment, and sustainable food systems, this episode delivers insight, inspiration, and actionable awareness.
