88 Vier FR-BB

88vier FR-BB is a network of free, non-commercial radios in Berlin and Brandenburg. It broadcasts on 88,4 MHz in Berlin and 90,7 MHz in Potsdam, with programming originating from decentralized studios run by self-organized groups.

Since its launch in May 2010, 88vier has offered a diverse program of music, talk, art, and political formats. Over 300 volunteer producers create content in various languages and styles. Monday through Thursday, 96 hours per week are broadcast, supplemented by DAB+ on channel 7D.

The network includes initiatives such as ALEX-Radio, BLN.FM, Pi Radio, and others. From 2026, FM operations will end, with the focus shifting to digital platforms. 88vier positions itself as a pilot project for free radios with open access and ad-free programming.
