89.0 RTL – In The Mix

The digital webstream 89.0 RTL – In The Mix expands the programming of the Central German private broadcaster 89.0 RTL with a continuous music channel. While the main station broadcasts via FM and DAB+ from Halle (Saale) for Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia and Lower Saxony, this online offshoot focuses entirely on seamlessly blended sets. The repertoire consists mainly of current chart hits, pop novelties and contemporary dance tracks.

The channel’s concept ties in with the station’s fixed programming slots, which include formats such as the Morning-Mix from 9 a.m. and the Feierabend-Mix from 6 p.m. in the linear schedule. The DJ-oriented focus is complemented by the broadcaster’s well-known party series, including the 89.0 RTL clubnight, which is held regularly in cities across the region.

Unlike the FM main broadcast, where morning show hosts like BigNick and Alena set the tone with features and games, the webstream largely dispenses with spoken content. Listeners get a continuous flow of music that bundles current pop and remix versions in club sound.
