Accent FM

Accent FM, based in the Netherlands, is dedicated to the golden era of pop music and presents its listeners with a consistent focus on the music history of past decades. The station forgoes current chart rankings and instead concentrates on what is defined as Oldies: melody-driven hits from the sixties, seventies, and eighties. The acoustic profile is characterized by the typical sound of the analog recording era, with careful song selection at the forefront to emphasize the station’s nostalgic atmosphere. Here, primarily radio-friendly classics are featured, defined by their timeless structure and catchy arrangements.

Listeners who value a musical journey through the decades will find a constant companion at Accent FM, which does without the fast pacing of modern private stations. The programming relies on a steady flow of classic melodies that transport the feeling of past decades. The focus is clearly on a selection that covers both major, globally known hits as well as charming B-sides that are rarely found in common playlists today. Through this specialized approach, the station establishes itself as a destination for fans of the classic pop genre within the Dutch broadcasting landscape.
