About the station
Antenne AC – Dein X-Mas Radio is a German special channel devoted entirely to the Christmas season in its music. Over the holidays, the programme conveys a festive mood and brings together everything that belongs to this time of year. Instead of the usual everyday mix of current chart hits, the acoustic profile is shaped by traditional Christmas carols, reflective classics and modern pop interpretations of well-known winter and holiday hits. The music selection ranges from orchestrally arranged Christmas anthems to American-influenced holiday pop songs.
The station operates as a pure theme channel that specifically targets listeners in Germany who want to tune in to the festivities acoustically during Advent and the Christmas season. The focus is on continuous background music with familiar and well-loved melodies that accompany the wait for Christmas Eve. Classic presenter segments or daily news are largely dispensed with in this specialised format, in order to focus entirely on the musical soundtrack of the winter months.
