bigFM Xmas – die biggsten Weihnachten mit bigFM Christmas Beats

bigFM Xmas is a specialized digital spin-off of the private radio station bigFM, which originated in Baden-Württemberg and now reaches large parts of Germany. The programme breaks with the tradition of classic Christmas music and instead focuses on an urban music format. The focus is on Christmas songs and remixes from the genres Hip-Hop, R&B and modern Pop Beats, placing the main station’s usual repertoire in a festive context.

The channel is distributed as a pure web radio stream via the station’s website and through mobile applications. While the main station is known for shows such as the Morningshow or its collaboration with presenters such as Laura Larsson, the Christmas channel serves as a seasonal add-on. The music selection largely forgoes traditional songs and instead relies on international productions and current releases from the Urban Music scene, in order to reach its target audience of young adults even during the holiday season.
