laut.fm – Dirty

Behind the unusual name Dirty lies an audio programme based in Germany that has devoted itself entirely to the diversity of World Music. Instead of relying on the usual European and North American chart formats, the programme opens up the acoustic horizon to sounds from all over the world. Musically, the spectrum ranges from traditional folk sounds to driving percussion arrangements to modern crossover productions from Africa, Latin America, Asia and the Middle East.

This German web radio caters to listeners who seek musical discoveries beyond the commercial mainstream. Without editorial overload or rigid genre boundaries, a global stream of rhythms, languages and instruments flows together here. The playlists bring urban and rural music cultures directly to the speakers and offer an acoustic journey through various continents, characterised by authentic voices, traditional instrumentation and unconventional sound structures.
