About the station
According to its own information, egoFM has been broadcasting since 2008 and distributes its programme via FM, DAB+, webstream and the egoFM app. The station positions itself away from the mainstream, with the main channel’s pop focus being defined mainly by its additional channels. These include standalone streams such as egoSoul, egoRnB, egoRap, egoJazz or egoChillout, each of which serves a clearly defined music genre.
Alongside the broadcast schedule, programme overview and media library, the website also offers playlists for the individual channels. Under the title egoFM nimmt dich mit, the station announces concerts in various cities, and with egoFM plus it offers a paid subscription including a new app. The blog focuses more on lifestyle topics such as series, books or the start of studies, which shows the orientation beyond music alone.
