laut.fm – German Gothic-Radio

Via the German streaming platform laut.fm, German Gothic-Radio devotes itself to the darker tonal colours of music history. The web radio broadcasts around the clock digitally into the net and specifically targets fans of the black scene. Instead of chasing fleeting mainstream trends, the project relies on a curated selection of tracks whose roots lie mainly in the subculture of the 1980s.

Musically, post-punk, dark wave, gothic rock and new wave shape the programme. Besides defining classics from the genre‑defining bands of that era, the schedule also features more electronic varieties such as synth‑pop or early EBM sounds. The music selection is occasionally supplemented by newer productions that sonically reference the aesthetics of the eighties. By operating as a pure web stream without FM ties, German Gothic-Radio is receivable anywhere and serves as a niche station for listeners of alternative guitar and synthesizer sounds.
