Hit West – 80

Behind the name Hit West – 80 lies a French radio offering that has unmistakably specialized musically in the pop era of the 1980s. At the heart of the program are the unmistakable sounds of this decade, led by distinctive synthesizer melodies, prominent drum computers, and the characteristic vocal harmonies that have sustainably shaped the pop culture of this decade internationally and in France.

The program is specifically aimed at an audience that appreciates the specific musical aesthetic of the eighties and is looking for a station dedicated exclusively to this era. In doing so, the selection builds a direct bridge from the major commercial pop anthems of those years to the detail‑loving productions of that time, with the station’s French origin always providing the framework for this time‑travel‑like music selection.
