Home 81.1

The Greek radio station Home 89.1 broadcasts its programme on the frequency 89.1 FM and positions itself as a companion through urban everyday life. The music format features an electronically driven music selection, including artists such as Moby, Rhye, and Alexander IV. Throughout the day, the programme is divided into fixed broadcast blocks: while New day at Home marks the start in the morning slot, presenters such as Dimitris Avgeros, Irini Louka, Chara Eudaimon, and Giorgos Raptakis accompany listeners throughout the day. Special formats such as Lunch break and Home Essentials structure the daily broadcast schedule.

Beyond pure music coverage, Home 89.1 serves as a platform for local cultural life. The station’s agenda informs about relevant concerts and events, such as performances by Autechre or the event The Meet Market. The overnight broadcast hours are shaped by automated or specialised segments such as Lights Out, Late night tales, and Night Calling, completing the 24-hour operation. The station thus offers a mix of curated music and local event listings for an urban audience.
