Under the name JOY 94.9, a central community medium for the LGBTQIA+ population in Melbourne broadcasts. The station operates as an organization and uses, in addition to terrestrial broadcasting on frequency 94.9, a global live stream as well as an extensive on-demand offering via podcasts. The programming is presented in rotating lineups and offers, alongside musical content, a platform for topics that directly affect the queer community, from political petitions for trans rights to health issues and sports reporting.

The content spectrum is reflected in a wide variety of shows, such as Well Well Well, which links health-related topics with local club culture, or Checkpoint, which is dedicated to the world of video games.
