KCR

Keith Community Radio, known by the abbreviation KCR, is a local radio station based in the Scottish town of Keith. Since its launch in the 1980s, the station has served as a regional voice for the Moray area and broadcasts on the frequency 107.7 FM. The programming is built on a variety of hosted shows that both address local interests and cater to a broad musical spectrum.

The editorial focus is reflected in formats such as The Week In Holyrood, which highlights political developments, as well as in music-oriented shows such as Scotch N Rock, Classical Moods, or The Friday Night Ceilidh. Hosts such as Michelle Wiseman, Alan Nairn, and Allan Riddoch guide listeners through the weekly blocks. In addition, the station places emphasis on the inclusion of regional artists and actively invites musicians to submit their own material for airplay. The offering is complemented by the KCR Jukebox, which covers the station’s musical repertoire outside of the fixed hosted segments.
