La Poderosa Ciudad Acuña

La Poderosa is one of the oldest radio stations in Mexico and has been broadcasting since 1931 from Ciudad Acuña, Coahuila. The station belongs to the Mexican Radio Institute (IMER) and offers a diverse program with news, music and services around the clock. La Poderosa is known for norteña music, Ranchera, Grupera and Banda music. The program includes national news, current information on politics and economics as well as entertainment and community services. The station has a long tradition as a pioneer of Mexican broadcasting and was at times the most powerful radio station on the continent.
