La Porteña Cafe Radio

Behind La Porteña Cafe Radio lies an unconventional, non-commercial radio project from Albania. The station devotes itself, away from mass-market mainstream, to a wholly unique aesthetic orientation strongly shaped by the namesake urban café character and an intimate, acoustic atmosphere.

As an independent station in the Albanian ether, the programme is financed neither by classic commercial spots nor by tightly planned quota-radio formalism. Instead, an uncompromising, selective music selection takes centre stage, conveying hand-picked sounds and specific cross-genre currents. Without commercial broadcasting, an editorial freedom arises that specifically addresses an audience seeking specialised music culture and undisturbed sound experiences away from the big commercial chains.
