About the station
The station pixlcast is part of the laut.fm platform and focuses consistently on a broad spectrum of pop music. The musical orientation is reflected in a mix of internationally known acts and German-speaking artists. The station’s rotation includes performers such as Charli xcx, Mumford & Sons, Sam Fender and Yard Act, complemented by established names such as Linkin Park, The Cure, U2 and Bruce Springsteen. National artists such as Clueso or Von Wegen Lisbeth also regularly have their place in the broadcast schedule. A special feature is the inclusion of current releases and specific tracks, which are grouped together in fixed programme segments such as the Rotation.
Listeners receive the purely digital offering of pixlcast via the common aggregators such as radio.de and phonostar or the direct streaming URL. It is also accessible through the laut.fm app for iOS and Android, as well as by voice command via the corresponding Alexa skill. During the ongoing music programme, the signal is interrupted by short news and weather updates. The programming dispenses with classic editorial moderation blocks and instead relies on a continuous musical selection that bridges alternative pop sounds and popular radio hits.
