NPO 2

NPO Radio 2 is a public radio station in the Netherlands, co-produced by broadcasting organizations such as KRO-NCRV. The programming focuses musically on pop and rock from various decades, which is reflected, among other things, in special themed weeks such as the NPO Radio 2 Top ’90s. The regular broadcast schedule includes music formats and shows such as Het Oor Wil Ook Wat, hosted by well-known personalities like Klaas van Kruistum.

In addition to the regular daytime programming, the station devotes itself extensively to music history and current releases. A prominent example of this is the Symfonische Sessies featuring artists such as Racoon. NPO Radio 2 is also known nationwide for its annual year-in-review with the Top 2000, in which listeners vote for the most popular pop songs of all time.
