Piratenpower

Those looking for traditional Dutch pirate music and Schlager will find the ad-free online radio station Piratenpower on the internet. The station from the Netherlands is dedicated to so-called Piratenhits and Dutch-language songs. The music program offers a mix of emotional life songs and modern Schlager from regional artists around the clock.

The daily program is hosted by presenters such as Valkenier or Klompjes FM. A special feature of the station is direct listener engagement: through a WhatsApp interface, listeners can contact the active presenter in the studio directly to make song requests. Additionally, the team presents the so-called “Powerschijf” weekly as a hit tip.

The offering, which is officially licensed by the organizations Buma Stemra and Sena, is entirely funded by listener donations. It can be received via web player with up to 192 kbps, as well as on platforms such as Streamradio.nl or RadioNed.
