Radio Munot

Radio Munot is a private local station based in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. Founded in 1983 and named after the fortress of the same name, the programme is aimed at the Schaffhausen region and surrounding areas.

The full programme includes hourly news, of which regional news at half past the hour and national/international from Radio Freiburg at the top of the hour. Shows such as the morning show, midday show, request concert and music box are broadcast, as well as podcasts on local history and culture. Every day before midnight, the Schaffhausen anthem Blos e chlini Stadt sounds.

Radio Munot is financed by advertising and fee splitting. Well-known media personalities launched their careers here. The broadcast area extends over the canton of Schaffhausen as well as parts of Zurich, Thurgau, Aargau and the German border region.
