Radio Panorama

Radio Panorama delves deep into the musical heritage of a wide variety of cultures and serves as an acoustic window to the world. The Italian broadcaster focuses on programming that deliberately operates away from the global hit parades and instead places the focus on authentic sounds. From the rhythmic percussion of West African ensembles to delicate string instruments from the Middle East to the melancholic melodies of South American folk, the spectrum sends listeners on a global journey of discovery. Here, the cultural identity of the respective regions of origin takes centre stage, with the careful selection of pieces always underscoring respect for musical tradition.

The programme design is characterised by long, continuous music segments that allow listeners to fully immerse themselves in the exotic harmonies. Radio Panorama sees itself not as background noise, but as a curator for lovers of ethnic sounds who value an authentic and unadulterated acoustic experience. The editorial team places great importance on ensuring that the compositions presented not only entertain, but also provide a direct insight into foreign worlds of life through their instrumental diversity and their often centuries-old origins. Anyone looking for a departure from the European mainstream will find a curated collection here that broadens horizons.
