RAI Radio Classica

Under the umbrella of the Italian public broadcaster RAI, RAI Radio Classica is entirely dedicated to classical music. The programme covers a historically broad spectrum and presents compositions spanning ten centuries, from the eleventh to the twenty-first.

Broadcasting is available nationwide in Germany and internationally via digital distribution channels such as satellite, DAB+, and the internet streaming portal Rai Play Sound. In addition to pure music programming, the schedule also includes cultural and talk formats such as Fahrenheit, which focus on literary and social topics.

As a specialised channel, the programme complements Italy’s public broadcasting audio offering with a distinct focus on Western art music, historical recordings, and concert reporting.
