About the station
Relax FM is a Latvian radio station whose website presents itself as an offering designed above all to convey a pleasant mood and make everyday life calmer. Research shows that under the Relax FM brand the station operates several thematically separate channels, including variants such as Jazz Cafe, Vintage Cafe, Buddha Bar, Deluxe, Vacation, Classic, Soul, Sleep, Covers, Countryside, Kino and Soundtracks. The channels are therefore sorted by mood and musical style, rather than following a single continuous programme.
The most recently played tracks on the website show a repertoire of pop, soul and singer-songwriter material, such as Alicia Keys, David Gray, Everything but the Girl and Justin Timberlake. In addition, the station publishes news articles on its site with texts about musical taste and the background role of music in everyday life, and there is also a podcast section under the name Relax FM Play. Information on coverage area, frequencies, year of founding or operator cannot be found in the research.
