RTP áfrica

As part of the public broadcaster RTP in Portugal, RTP África is dedicated to reporting and cultural exchange with the African countries where Portuguese is an official language, the PALOP states. The programming combines journalistic information formats with a strong focus on African music. In addition to current news and reports, discussions, interviews, and thematic programs shape the profile of the medium.

Among the well-known formats is the music show Noites Tropicais, hosted by Carlos Pedro, which focuses on the sounds and artists of the African continent. The offering is complemented by specialized program series such as Passagem de Nível. Listeners can access the content not only through linear broadcasting but also via podcasts and digital on-demand services, making content on politics, society, sports, and culture available at any time.
