Skald

The project known as Radio Skald exists primarily as a digital channel within the Telegram messaging service. With its thematic focus, the station positions itself away from classic FM or DAB+ formats and delves deeply into Norse mythology, the history of the Germanic and Slavic peoples, and the cultural heritage of the Middle Ages. Its editorial direction is reflected in a curated selection of music that atmospherically connects to the medieval era and is complemented by natural sounds.

The content of Radio Skald is heavily influenced by esoteric and historical interests. Thematically, the offering spans a spectrum ranging from the Edda and runic studies to the belief in the Æsir and general nature magic. Since the channel does not hold a classic broadcasting license in the traditional sense, it functions as a niche platform for a specific community interested in the mystical exploration of Germanic and Slavic history. With a steadily growing subscriber base, the project serves an audience that consciously focuses on a contemplative engagement with historical and mythological subjects.
