laut.fm – Songbirds And Heroines

Under the motto Women of Music, the internet station hosted on the platform laut.fm, Songbirds And Heroines, focuses on the musical work of women. The curated program covers a broad spectrum that goes far beyond a pure genre definition. Musical focuses include singer-songwriter, folk, and pop, supplemented by influences from jazz, country, and bluegrass. Thus, the station focuses on artists who shape the contemporary music landscape through their individual forms of expression and their role as songwriters.

In rotation, both internationally established names and defining voices of the scene are found. The musical portfolio includes, among other things, recordings by Yola, the Swedes of First Aid Kit, and the British musician Anna Calvi. The work of Basia Bulat and the US indie folk artist Nicole Atkins is also a fixed part of the program. As a pure web radio stream, Songbirds And Heroines is available worldwide via the laut.fm infrastructure, integrated into various streaming directories such as radio.de or phonostar, and accessible via the corresponding Alexa skill.
