Symphonische Blasmusik

The Symphonische Blasmusik dedicates its programming exclusively to the demanding repertoire of concertante wind ensembles. Here, the focus is not on the usual catchy tunes of light entertainment music, but on complex scores that exploit the full spectrum of woodwind and brass instruments as well as percussion. The programme illuminates the tradition of German wind orchestra culture, ranging from ceremonial marches to technically demanding symphonic poems, often arranged for large orchestras.

The focus lies on tonal differentiation and precision of execution, as is characteristic of high-quality wind orchestra literature. Listeners experience an acoustic journey through works that go far beyond traditional beer-tent music. The compilations emphasise the orchestral character of the pieces and place value on a clear, dynamic mix that precisely reproduces the individual sections of an ensemble – from the deep tubas to the delicate flutes. The offering thus targets lovers of a musical genre that looks back on a long historical development in Germany and today holds a high status both in the amateur concert scene and among professional ensembles.
