Since 2006, Breakz.FM has been broadcasting a pure DJ format that explicitly distinguishes itself from automated playlists. The program is operated by UPLINK Digital GmbH and relies on a continuous rotation of handcrafted mixes and mixtapes. Instead of classic moderation, the focus here is on seamless transitions designed to create a club-like listening experience. The sonic orientation covers a broad spectrum of electronic music, ranging from deep house to bigroom EDM to techno. This offering is complemented by urban genres such as hip-hop and R&B as well as chart hits that are regularly reinterpreted as mashups.

The station distributes its signal exclusively digitally as a stream with a bitrate of 192 kbit/s. Musically, Breakz.FM covers the full breadth of danceable genres, with Latin rhythms and reggaeton also having a fixed place in the schedule. The mix archive is also made accessible to listeners via platforms such as Mixcloud who wish to follow individual sets. As a pure internet radio station, the team foregoes terrestrial frequencies and instead focuses on continuous 24/7 broadcasting that transfers the dynamics of a club night into the private sphere.
