laut.fm – Trauer Radio 1

Under the name Trauer Radio 1, a German web service broadcasts that is dedicated thematically and musically entirely to the conscious confrontation with loss, farewell, and grief work. The program thus occupies a distinctly unique niche in the German radio landscape and addresses people seeking emotional support in difficult phases of life.

Musically, the program consistently focuses on the Pop genre. The selection specifically includes pieces whose lyrics and compositions provide space for remembrance and reflection. Instead of fast rhythms, quiet, ballad-like pop songs as well as thoughtful, sustained numbers from national and international productions dominate here. The station deliberately avoids conventional radio elements such as contests or loud jingles in order to offer listeners continuous and undisturbed accompaniment in moments of silence.
