Zeilsteen Radio

More than 27 years ago, in 1999, Zeilsteen Radio began broadcasting in the Netherlands. The station was founded by Herman Zeilstra with the clear concept of broadcasting away from mainstream charts and marketing guidelines. The 24-hour full program is consistently dedicated to the genre of Alternative Pop and Rock.

When it comes to music selection, the station completely forgoes computer-controlled algorithms or trend-based rotation. Instead, the team combines well-known artists such as the Foo Fighters or Imagine Dragons with hand-picked new discoveries and lesser-known artists, staying true to the commitment of playing music with real character.

The web radio can be received worldwide via a livestream on the official website as well as through its own apps for mobile devices. Listeners also have the opportunity to actively submit music requests through the platform and track the titles currently in rotation in real time.
