80s80s – Deutsch

80s80s DEUTSCH is a radio station specializing in German-language music, dedicated entirely to the sounds of the 1980s. The program illuminates an era in which the domestic music scene reinvented itself beyond classic schlager and produced an enormous musical breadth. The repertoire includes, alongside the formative hits of the Neue Deutsche Welle, rock and pop productions by well-known artists such as Herbert Grönemeyer, Marius Müller-Westernhagen, Klaus Lage, and Heinz Rudolf Kunze.

In addition to the major mainstream successes, the station also covers punk influences from bands like Die Ärzte and Die Toten Hosen. The music selection is complemented by GDR rock and pop, completing the radio portrait of this decade. The stream is aimed specifically at listeners interested in the sociocritical, humorous, and poppy facets of the German-language 1980s.
