80s80s – Funk Soul

The German radio station 80s80s – Funk Soul dedicates itself as a purely digital thematic channel exclusively to the groovy sounds of the 1980s. The program illuminates the transformation of the cross-genre funk and soul sound that in this decade ranged from club-ready productions to the mainstream.

In rotation are formative artists and groups like Kool & The Gang, Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones, Prince, Sister Sledge and Tina Turner. The web radio thereby embraces both handmade rhythms and the fusion of analog influences with early electronic beats.
