Cafe Balaton Radio

The web radio Cafe Balaton Radio launched in June 2023. Conceptually, the project is inspired by the atmosphere of Hungary’s Lake Balaton, but is operationally run from Lincoln in the United Kingdom. The station does not use terrestrial FM frequencies and broadcasts its programme around the clock exclusively digitally via the internet and its own mobile applications.

Musically, the focus is on Dance, melodic club sounds, and mellow Balearic beats. In addition to the continuous live stream, the team produces curated DJ sets and live sessions, which are also published on the station’s own YouTube channel. In the future, the station plans to open a physical music café, from which live broadcasts with guest DJs are to take place on weekends.
