Chilltrax

The US-based internet radio station Chilltrax is entirely devoted to the genres of downtempo, electronica, and chillout. Music selection is done manually by a team of musicologists, rather than relying on computer‑generated algorithms or automated playlists. The musical repertoire includes established and emerging acts such as Odesza, Röyksopp, Bonobo, Satin Jackets as well as Eli & Fur, which usually receive little attention in conventional radio.

The program broadcasts completely free of traditional advertising. Operations are supported by the non‑profit organization Electronic Music Radio Group (EMRG), which is registered as a nonprofit corporation under US law. Funding comes exclusively from listener donations to cover licensing fees and technical infrastructure.

The Radio can be received worldwide via the Internet. In addition to the direct web player on the website, the station offers official apps for iOS, Android, and Mac. Furthermore, the audio stream can be accessed via platforms such as TuneIn and Apple Music, while for direct integration into audio players various streams in AAC+ and MP3 formats with bitrates ranging from 64 to 128 kbps are provided.
