About the station
DR P5 Syd is an oldies station from Denmark, whose name refers to the southern region of the country. Listeners who tune in mainly hear music from past decades: melodies that many listeners know from their youth alternate with well-known hits from earlier times.
The station belongs to the DR P5 series and is aimed at listeners who like to immerse themselves in familiar sounds of the past. The musical focus is clearly on oldies, that is, on songs that have stayed in the collective memory for decades.
At the heart of the station is an unpretentious look back: catchy choruses and pop tracks that are instantly recognisable, without the programme following current trends.
