egoFM Soul

As a digital thematic service of the German radio station egoFM, egoFM Soul is entirely dedicated to the facets of African American music history and modern soul sounds. The programme is available as a digital web stream via the official website and the app, complementing the main programme of the station, which launched in 2008, with a specialised music focus.

Musically, the programme covers a range from timeless classics to current productions. The playlist features artists such as the Ephemerals with titles like You’ll Never See Me Cry, Vandalisbin, or jazz and soul legends like Sammy Davis Jr. with Mr. Bojangles. The offering is specifically aimed at listeners who, beyond the everyday FM mainstream, seek deep grooves and soulful beats.

The stream is part of a larger digital line-up from egoFM, which includes, in addition to the main frequencies, numerous genre channels ranging from R&B to rap to indie. Technical distribution is exclusively via digital infrastructures such as the web player and mobile applications, making the station receivable throughout Germany.
