FM 99.9

Behind FM 99.9 stands an independent and non-commercial radio format from Austria that deliberately positions itself away from the big rating names. The program thrives entirely on the absence of classic advertising blocks, creating space for uncut spoken-word contributions, experimental sound art, and alternative cultural reporting. Here, voices receive a platform that rarely find space in standardized broadcasting, from local initiatives to niche subcultures.

Musically, the station moves far from the everyday chart monotony. Rotating playlists give way to a hand-picked aesthetic ranging from experimental electronics through underground rock to contemporary avant-garde. Independent productions and local musicians from all over Austria shape the acoustic profile. Thus, FM 99.9 serves as a radically free resonance board for listening habits that appreciate the courage for an uncomfortable tone.
