laut.fm – Tears for Fears Radio

The web radio station distributed via the German platform laut.fm, Tears for Fears Radio, dedicates its programming to the melancholic and melodic soundscapes of the 1980s. At the center of the musical mix is the synth-pop of the eponymous British duo Tears for Fears. The playlist is complemented by seminal representatives of New Wave and Pop-Rock, including acts such as Duran Duran, Soft Cell, Depeche Mode, Ultravox, and A-ha.

The music selection runs as part of the unmoderated show Rotation, which brings together classics and rarities from artists such as Nik Kershaw, Simple Minds, Level 42, and Talk Talk. As a user-generated web radio, the project does without classic presenters and relies entirely on a continuous, atmospheric music mix. Reception is purely digital via the streaming interfaces of laut.fm, Alexa Skills, and radio aggregators on the internet.
