Lernradio Karlsruhe

Lernradio Karlsruhe is the training radio of the Karlsruhe University of Music (HfM) and part of the Young Culture Channel. It serves the practical training of students in the field of music journalism and culture radio.

The program includes features on culture, classical, jazz, world music, and local topics from Karlsruhe, supplemented by contributions from partner institutions such as the Baden State Theatre, the KIT, and the ZKM. It broadcasts weekly about 45 hours on FM 104.8 MHz (cable 100.2 MHz) and online as a livestream. Since 1995, Lernradio has supported the training of music journalists through practical broadcasting from a modern multimedia complex.

The LernRadio Institute offered a postgraduate course until 2006 and cooperates with other universities, including in the campus radio project. The focus is on high-quality cultural proximity and media literacy.
