About the station
Podkast.FM broadcasts from Lausanne in the canton of Vaud on FM 90.4 and presents itself as a radio station that broadcasts exclusively podcasts. The project is backed by Odiolab, which also organises events and workshops on audio. The station is based at the Cospire coworking space in Lausanne, one of the project’s partners.
The programme consists of a selection of podcasts that the team says it compiles with care. The segment Podcasts All Stars runs daily from 6 a.m. and covers spirituality, philosophy, technology, business, psychology, politics, geopolitics and sport. The contributions are predominantly in French, in keeping with the station’s coverage area in French-speaking Switzerland.
Live broadcasts are also part of the offering, for example of sporting events that the station occasionally moderates specially. Listeners can also submit podcast recommendations via the website.
