About the station
Radio Alfa Silkeborg is part of the Danish Radio ALFA network and broadcasts as a regional station for the Silkeborg area in Central Jutland. Besides Silkeborg, the network operates other local stations, including Aarhus, Skive and Viborg. The programmes can be received via the station’s web player as well as through the network’s other offerings.
The focus is on oldies, i.e. music from earlier decades. The network works with recurring formats, especially at weekends: retro Top 40 shows, themed hours featuring classics, as well as morning and evening programmes. Music runs continuously through the night.
In addition to the main programme, the network offers the channels ALFA Gold and Always Elvis Radio, which concentrate on specific musical styles. The station also provides podcasts via its own archive, so that broadcasts can be listened to later as well.
