Radio Steiermark 80er POP

Behind the digital offering Radio Steiermark 80er POP lies a pure music format that focuses exclusively on the hits of a single decade. The stream is part of the Antenne Steiermark portfolio, the leading private radio station in the federal state, but is operated as a separate online offering without editorial moderation. The focus is on iconic chart-toppers, synthesizer pop, and the defining rock anthems of the 1980s. The programme is therefore aimed at listeners who prefer a continuous music flow without interruptions from news, weather, or traffic reports.

The station covers the full range of the decade, from internationally successful New Wave titles to German-language classics of the Neue Deutsche Welle. As it is a web radio, the broadcast is not tied to FM frequencies and can be received worldwide via the website and common radio apps. While the main programme of Antenne Steiermark is designed as a full-service programme and places strong emphasis on local information from Styria and Carinthia, this specific channel serves as a pure music supplement for targeted nostalgia listening. The programme design focuses on a high density of well-known titles that were characteristic of the decade.
