Radio Tangra Mega Rock

The Bulgarian web radio Radio Tangra Mega Rock has established itself as one of the most important destinations for rock music in the region. The station broadcasts its programme digitally, featuring a mix of international rock, indie sounds, and heavy metal. Based in Sofia, Tangra Mega Rock sees itself as a medium deeply rooted in the local scene and regularly informs about concerts and cultural events alongside the music. A hallmark of the programme is the specialised shows, often hosted by well-known figures in the scene.

Particularly prominent formats include the Mega-Stunden programme (Megachas) by Andrey Vladov, who broadcasts directly from London with a focus on the global indie scene. Nasso Ruskov also shapes the station’s sound with his show Motel Hentai. Other regular features in the daily schedule include the shows Tangra Metal Shock with Vasil Varbanov, Brazz Jamboree, and Automatic for the People. The station also serves as an information hub for the Bulgarian music landscape by regularly conducting interviews with artists and reporting on tours and album releases worldwide. Listeners can access the content via web stream or the associated mobile app.
