SLAM! WKNDMX

The digital audio platform of the Dutch media house Mediahuis focuses with the subsidiary SLAM! WKNDMX on electronic music culture. While the main program is broadcast via UKW in the Randstad region, this specific channel is receivable nationwide via DAB+ as well as through the in-house app. The program puts DJ culture in the spotlight and aligns itself with established formats such as the SLAM! MixMarathon, where continuously mixed sets are broadcast.

Musically, current dance tracks and house productions by artists such as Mau P, John Summit or Avicii dominate. Well-known faces of the station, including Hielke Boersma, Anoûl Hendriks and Patrick Wolda, also shape special chart formats such as the SLAM! 40 or the annual Dance 1000. A fixed part of the editorial work is the cooperation with the Amsterdam Dance Event, where the station appears as a media partner. The WKNDMX playlist largely dispenses with classic moderation segments and instead relies on a rhythmic sequence of tracks that are intended to digitally depict the weekend feeling implied by the name.
