Welle Niederrhein

Welle Niederrhein is a local radio station for Krefeld and the Viersen district in the left Lower Rhine. Since its launch on August 31, 1991, it has provided listeners daily with regional news, weather reports, and events from the neighborhood.

The program includes current topics from Krefeld, Viersen, and the Lower Rhine, music news with interviews with well-known artists such as Alvaro Soler or Michael Patrick Kelly, as well as activities such as benefit concerts for social causes. Special formats such as ‘Talk am Sonntag’ are dedicated to in-depth conversations on special topics.

The station can be received via FM, cable, DAB+, livestream, app, and smart speaker, and emphasizes its proximity to the region, which proved particularly valuable in times of crisis such as Corona.
