laut.fm – WSQK-The Retro Squawk

The web radio WSQK – The Retro Squawk is operated via the laut.fm platform and positions itself thematically around the aesthetic of the science-fiction series Stranger Things. The musical selection is not strictly limited to a single decade but spans from modern pop productions to classics. The broadcast features tracks by artists such as Madonna, Dua Lipa and The Weeknd alongside songs by The Buggles or The Chordettes. Electronic accents, for example through Paul Kalkbrenner, or rockier tones from Alice Cooper also flow into the rotation.

Apart from the music segments, the programme includes specific formats such as the show Rotation, in which, alongside current pop music, artists like Lana Del Rey or Kaiser Franz can be heard. The station does not use classic terrestrial frequencies and is available exclusively in digital form. Listeners receive the programme via the laut.fm infrastructure, which is accessible among other things as an Alexa Skill, via radio.de, phonostar, or through the direct streaming URL. WSQK targets, with its curated mix, a fan community that appreciates a nostalgically tinged atmosphere.
