AURATON
About the station
Behind the electronic project lies an uncompromising engagement with sound art that moves stylistically consistently between Ambient, Industrial and experimental sound worlds. Since the late 1980s, profound compositions have been created that leave common genre boundaries behind and instead rely on an unconventional sonic vocabulary.
For the creation of these cinematic atmospheres, the artist uses not only modern modular synthesizers but above all self-built instruments and organic materials such as water, metal, wood and stone. Through the incorporation of field recordings, a raw, immersive listening experience emerges in which physical live actions merge directly with electronic sound synthesis.
After worldwide performances in Europe, Japan, India and the USA, the current focus is on intensive studio productions. Since 2026, selected works have also been realized in Dolby Atmos, allowing the spatial depth of this experimental music to come into play even more precisely.
