BBC Radio 2

The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) operates BBC Radio 2, one of its most far-reaching radio stations in the United Kingdom. The programme focuses on a broad pop repertoire, specifically tailored for a large audience across the United Kingdom. The musical range spans several decades of pop history, with both current releases and classics from past decades finding a fixed place in the daily schedule.

As a permanent institution of public-service broadcasting, the station refrains from commercial advertising breaks. Besides music, journalistic spoken contributions, current news and cultural reports shape the programme profile. The programme brings British pop culture directly to listeners in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, connecting the country through a reliable offering of information and entertainment.
