About the station
DR P5 Sjælland is part of Denmark’s public broadcaster DR (Danmarks Radio) and is aimed at listeners on Zealand, the largest island of the country, where Copenhagen is also located. The station is assigned to the oldies genre and plays mainly older pop music titles.
As the regional edition of the DR music channel P5, the station combines music with programme segments for its broadcast area. It can be received via FM as well as via the livestream on the website of DR LYD, where the station’s programme overview can also be accessed.
The focus is on music from several decades. Presented segments accompany the tracks and introduce listeners to the songs and when they were made. For the Zealand region, the programme is thus an offering that combines older Danish and international music with a local connection.
