ffn 607080

Behind the digital specialty channel ffn 607080 is the Lower Saxony private broadcaster ffn headquartered in Hanover. This online offering focuses on the music history of three decades and complements the main program, which has been broadcast since its launch in 1986 from the broadcasting house on Stiftstraße. The musical focus is on titles from the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s, covering the era of beat, flower power, and early electronic pop music. While the parent station has a comprehensive FM network in Northern Germany, this specific offshoot is distributed exclusively as a digital web stream.

The music selection foregoes current chart placements and instead dedicates itself to classics from the Beatles to ABBA to the synthesizer hits of the 80s. The platform is operated by Funk & Fernsehen Nordwestdeutschland GmbH & Co. KG, which, alongside regional information for the broadcast area between the Harz and the North Sea coast, also runs numerous other thematic channels such as Frühstyxradio. Moderated segments take a back seat on this channel in favor of continuous music rotation, enabling a temporally focused journey through the pop culture of the late 20th century.
